CONCERNS over the safety of school environments in Nigeria have intensified following recent reports of attacks targeting educational institutions in parts of the country, including the North-West and North-Central regions.

The incidents have triggered renewed national attention on the vulnerability of schools, particularly in rural and semi-urban areas.
